Meghniwas is an old charming house built in the fifties with large gardens both in front and the back of the house. It has simple, elegant, clean rooms with views. Our gardens, at the back of the house, are quiet and peaceful with a pool and variety of birds. It retains its old world charm with all the basic comforts and funtionality of a hotel. We offer a personal touch with the warmth and hospitality of a home--beautiful gardens, open spaces and pool, clean well maintained rooms with no fuss and frills, but all the facilities and comforts; and organic, simple home cooked fresh food. We don't serve food in the rooms, as the owners prefer to dine and eat the same food with their guests. Recycled water is used for gardening. On the "down side," if you are looking for a swanky, modern hotel, then Meghniwas is not the place for you. Our rooms are basic, clean and simple. We are located on a busy Highway, but set a 100 feet back. And all of the rooms have door and window seals. All that said, welcome to you Jaipur home. The Colonel and his wife love welcoming guests into their home and sharing stories and drinks in the gardens and lawns.
